According to the Suwayda 24 website, the announcement came today as part of a previously signed agreement in early May between community leaders, religious figures, and dignitaries of the governorate.

The statement indicated that this step was taken in response to "repeated violations by certain individuals against members of the judicial police and law enforcement institutions," which have led to what was described as “chaos and disorder.” The statement emphasized that the goal is to “strengthen the rule of law and deter harmful transgressions.”

The Spiritual Leadership called on local factions and community groups to fully cooperate with the judicial police and security agencies, while also warning against any attacks on these institutions or their personnel while performing their legal duties.

The statement also urged police units and officers from the governorate to carry out their duties with effectiveness and seriousness in order to enforce the law and restore stability.
