Displaced people from Afrin and Shahba on their way to safe areas

The buses that headed to the Shahba area to evacuate the displaced people of Afrin and Shahba have arrived in Deir Hafer, and are now on their way back to the safe areas.

Convoys of buses headed to the Shahba area on December 4 to forcibly evacuate the displaced people of Afrin and Shahba to safe areas in NE Syria.

On October 27, the Turkish occupation mercenaries launched massive attacks on the countryside of Afrin and Shahba Canton, coinciding with Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham’s attack on the countryside of Aleppo city, which led to the displacement of thousands of families from the cities and towns of Afrin and Shahba to the Raqqa and Tabqa Cantons on December 2.

However, many displaced people and residents of the areas of Shahba and Tal Rifaat remained stuck in those areas.

Many buses headed towards the Shahba areas to evacuate the displaced people of Afrin and Shahba, but the Turkish occupation mercenaries obstructed the arrival of these buses to transport the displaced. After great efforts made by the concerned authorities, the remaining displaced people were evacuated.
