The Democratic Autonomous Administration confirmed that the Turkish attacks against the populated areas of NE Syria constitute a full-fledged war crime, especially since the region is witnessing remarkable stability.

Today, the Democratic AANES issued a statement regarding the Turkish attacks against the North and East Syria region, where the Turkish occupation targeted a car in the city of Kobani, in addition to bombing the village of Dekmdash.

The Democratic AANES explained that the Turkish occupation state is once again seeking to justify its failure in Turkey and outside it, by launching attacks against the region of NE Syria, and said: “With the victory of the will of the people in the municipal elections that Turkey witnessed, it systematically diverted the attention of Turkish public opinion once again towards what it claims are hypothetical dangers.”

The Democratic Autonomous Administration indicated that what happened in the city of Kobani, in terms of targeting a car inside the city, is one of Turkey’s policies through which it wants to divert attention from what is happening inside Turkey, as well as a kind of escape forward from the historical entitlement that is happening today inside Turkey.

The Democratic AANES confirmed: “Targeting our region and targeting civilians and populated areas is a full-fledged war crime, especially since the region is witnessing remarkable stability with the operations carried out by the Syrian Democratic Forces and the security forces against the cells and supporters of the terrorist organization ISIS.”

The Democratic Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria confirmed also its continuation by all possible means to preserve the people’s gains and work with all components of the region towards achieving stability and ensuring the achievement of the people’s goals and aspirations for democracy, justice and equality.
