Delegation of women from Rojava continues its meetings in Latin America

Berivan Khalid, a member of the Kongra Star Coordination Committee, confirmed that the women's delegation's visit to Latin America is ongoing. She noted that the delegation will hold a series of meetings with women's figures and organizations, in addition to visiting several countries in the region.

In a statement to Anha agency, Khalid explained that the World Women's Conference, held under the slogan "We Will Flourish Because War Cannot Uproot Us," which began on February 11 and concluded on February 15 in Bogotá, Colombia, provided a historic opportunity to meet with more than 400 women from around the world. She considered it a significant achievement in the process of unifying women's efforts internationally.

She also described the conference as a positive step that resulted in serious and in-depth discussions, noting that the participants expressed great enthusiasm for announcing the establishment of an international women's network to combat violence and capitalism.

She added: "The conference aimed to unify women's discourse and visions globally, promote the principles of protection and common defense, and coordinate participation in events that will be held around the world

She noted that the conference's final statement is extensive, and all its decisions will be announced later.

Regarding the delegation's visit, she confirmed that the tour is ongoing, and additional meetings are scheduled with women's organizations and figures in several Latin American countries to discuss various issues of mutual interest and expand cooperation.

It is worth mentioning that a women's delegation from Rojava, including representatives from the Kongra Star, Berivan Khalid and Derok Qahraman, are visiting Latin America as part of an official tour to participate in the World Conference on Women and to hold a series of meetings with women's organizations and figures in the countries included in the visit's program.
