Delegation from North Kurdistan meets with Mazloum Abdi

A delegation from North Kurdistan held a meeting with Syrian Presidential Adviser Mazloum Abdi. The meeting discussed the integration process in Syria, the peace process and democratic society in North Kurdistan and Turkey, as well as future joint efforts and providing support and cooperation to the municipalities of Rojava.

A delegation that crossed from North Kurdistan into Rojava on 7 October this month met yesterday, Saturday, with Syrian Presidential Adviser Mazloum Abdi in the city of Qamishlo, following a series of visits to institutions in the region.

The meeting discussed the integration process in Syria, the peace process and democratic society in North Kurdistan and Turkey. They also discussed future joint work and ways to provide support and cooperation to the municipalities of Rojava.

The delegation continues its visits to institutions in Rojava.

The delegation includes Mardin Co-Mayor Devrim Demir, who is also Co-Chair of the Local Administrations’ Diplomacy Committee; Safiye Aladağ, Co-Mayor of the Yenişehir district in Amed; Sevim Beçetçi, Co-Mayor of the Farqin district in Amed; Belkize Beştaş Epözdemir, Co-Mayor of Tatvan; and Rokin Demir, a member of the Diplomacy Committee.
