Deir ez-Zor Military Council responds to call and appeals of 7 villages

The leadership of the Deir ez-Zor Military Council explained that, in response to the call and appeals of its people: “Our forces have become responsible for protecting the people of the villages of Al-Salhiya, Tabiya, Hatla, Khasham, Marat, Mazloum, and Husseiniya in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor.”

Today, the leadership of the Deir ez-Zor Military Council issued a statement to the public opinion, stating: “Given the dangerous security conditions resulting from the recent events in western Syria all the way to the desert, and the existence of serious risks related to the imminent movement of large cells affiliated with the terrorist organization ISIS to geographically control unprotected areas, especially In the north and east of Deir ez-Zor, we confirm that our forces have become responsible for protecting the people of the villages of Salhiya, Tabiya, Hatla, Khasham, Marat, Mazloum, and Husseiniya in the countryside of Deir ez-Zor.

The entry of our forces into these villages comes in response to the call and appeals of their people, as a result of the increasing potential risks of the terrorist organization ISIS exploiting the events in the west of the country.”
