Deir ez-Zor Council holds meeting with martyrs’ families, fighters in Hajin

The Deir ez-Zor Military Council held a broad meeting in the city of Hajin, in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor Canton, bringing together the families of martyrs and fighters.

As part of efforts to strengthen direct communication with residents and assess needs and field developments, the Deir ez-Zor Military Council convened today a wide-ranging meeting with the families of martyrs and fighters in the city of Hajin, east of Deir ez-Zor.

The meeting was attended by a member of Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) leadership Siban Afrin, a member of Women’s Protection Units (YPJ) leadership Roken Mohammed, and Abdul Karim al-Aweed, a member of the leadership of the Deir ez-Zor Military Council, in addition to the families of martyrs and fighters.

Participants discussed the latest political and military developments in the region, reviewed the security and service situation, and examined the ongoing changes in Deir ez-Zor at both the field and administrative levels, along with continued steps aimed at strengthening security and stability.

The council also listened to residents’ views and observations regarding general conditions, as attendees expressed their support for the SDF and their backing of its efforts to consolidate stability and protect the region.

The leadership affirmed its commitment to following up on residents’ concerns and addressing their needs, praising the proposals put forward during the meeting, which are expected to contribute to improving mechanisms of joint action and strengthening ties between the council and the local community.
