The death toll from the aerial bombardment on sites and headquarters of pro-Iranian groups in Deir ez-Zor has risen so far to 9 people, and according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, 8 of them are from the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, including a leader and a person of Syrian nationality, while the number is still likely to rise because there are more than 30 wounded, some of them in serious condition, 10 of whom were citizens who were injured in the vicinity of the site, in addition to information about other deaths

According to the Observatory, the air strikes carried out by unidentified warplanes targeted the villa of Abdel Moneim Shehab, which the Iranian Revolutionary Guard uses as a communications headquarters in the Villas neighborhood in the city of Deir ez-Zor, a headquarters near the Al-Abbas area, and two sites in Al-Bukamal near the Syrian-Iraqi border in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor.

After midnight on Monday - Tuesday, unidentified aircraft launched raids on sites of pro-Iranian groups in Deir ez-Zor, which led to deaths and injuries among the group, as ambulances rushed to the targeted areas.

Al-Watan newspaper, which is close to the Damascus government, reported, citing media sources, that: “American air strikes targeted the areas of Salhiya, Al-Bukamal, Al-Mayadeen, and Al-Qusour in the city of Deir ez-Zor.”

It is worth noting that the targeting came hours after an Iranian transport plane landed at Deir ez-Zor military airport, as a transport plane landed at the airport carrying members of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard and logistical equipment.
