The Wahda Street in the city of Qamishlo witnessed a protest gathering on Tuesday, in which dozens of residents and shop owners took part for the third consecutive day, denouncing rising prices and electricity outages caused by fuel shortages.

Protesters carried banners calling for solutions to the fuel and electricity crisis and for improvements in living conditions, stressing the need to ensure a dignified standard of living amid the difficult economic situation in the region.

Participants also chanted slogans including "We demand social justice" and "The people want better living conditions," before the gathering turned into a march through the city’s main market streets.

Demonstrators said that the shortage of diesel fuel and ongoing power cuts are directly affecting their daily lives and commercial activities, warning that the continued crisis threatens their livelihoods and increases burden on residents.

In recent days, similar protest gatherings were also held at the Martyr Robar Roundabout (Youth City), calling for improved living conditions and basic services.
