Damascus forces kill protester, wound another in Suwayda

Two people were killed and injured as a result of security personnel affiliated with the Damascus government forces shooting at protesters in Suwayda while they were trying to storm one of the "settlement" centers in the city.

Security personnel of the Damascus government forces fired randomly in the air and towards protesters in Suwayda, who tried to storm the security settlements center in the April 7 hall in the center of the city, which led to the death of one person and the injury of another.

According to the Suwayda 24 website, Jawad Tawfiq Barouki (52 years old) died as a result of his wounds, and Walid Al-Jawhari was wounded by security bullets.

According to the source, dozens of Suwayda residents gathered this morning in the vicinity of the April 7 Hall, which includes a “security settlement” center.

In a related context, protesters stormed what is known as the “Western Branch of the Baath Party,” located east of Tishreen Square in the center of the city of Suwayda, while the protesters threw security reports and symbols of the Damascus government outside the building.
