DAA: Turkish offensive is a clear revenge for ISIS

 The Democratic Autonomous Administration issued a statement to the public opinion a short while ago regarding the Turkish attacks against the North and East Syria region, and in particular the Manbij Canton. It was read by the co-chair of the Executive Council, Evin Sweid, in the presence of the council members, in the city of Raqqa, and it stated the following:

 "In light of the developments sweeping the region, the Turkish state and its mercenaries seek to threaten and undermine the stability of our regions, as well as obstruct efforts to protect the region through its various components.

 Without a doubt, the goal is genocide, as is Turkey's policy and vision in Syria, as well as shuffling the cards and paving the way for the expansion of extremism and providing the opportunity to implement its plans that it began with since the beginning of the crisis in Syria.

 The attack on Manbij and our regions comes in the context of undermining the will of our people and confiscating their democratic decision and their efforts to build stability and security.

 We affirm that we will fulfill our full duty towards our people and our people in NE Syria, and we will confront all projects that aim to undermine our will, and we will defend within our project that is based on defense and self-protection. We count on the awareness and solidarity of our people in this Critical and difficult time.
