On Monday, the Democratic Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria issued a statement to public opinion; Condemning the attacks of the Turkish occupation, it was read by the Chairman of the Executive Council of the Democratic Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, Hussein Othman, which stated:

“Amid renewed wishes for peace and the beginning of a new year, as the entire world seeks these wishes and celebrates the beginning of a new year, the Turkish state, with its history and usual custom, seeks to perpetuate genocide and destruction, which is originally part of this state’s vision and thought, and its strategy, which it does not abandon at the expense of the people.

In less than three months and over the course of more than 10 years, Turkey has been practicing this approach and seeking to create chaos, as it has continued and continues to attack our regions and target infrastructure, oil sites and service facilities, these institutions that are being targeted as has happened since the beginning of October of this year. Until now, it is active in serving the people and providing service and humanitarian support and contributing to alleviating the burden of the siege and war on the region. This aggression that is taking place is a clear desire by Turkey to take revenge on ISIS and give it the opportunity to put its collapsed forces in order on the one hand, as well as a clear effort to encircle the project of our people as it is a clear project in adopting a real solution that achieves stability and preserves the unity of Syrians; Except for all other projects, including those supported by Turkey. There are also clear efforts to prevent the development of this will that accompanies the developments of this stage and responds to them in a way that is consistent with serving the region and the project of its components. This Turkish escalation is a new opportunity for ISIS to return and disrupt the war against it, as well as a new effort as a reaction to the failure of the sedition and civil war projects supported by Turkey and other regional parties in our regions.

Based on the above, we in the Democratic Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria denounce this Turkish aggression and escalation and the targeting of civilian and service facilities in North and East Syria, and we affirm that this aggression increases human and economic suffering and threatens efforts to maintain stability and the war on terrorism, calling on the United Nations and organizations Human rights and humanitarian issues related to expressing their positions on this aggression, as it is an aggression that threatens the stability and lives of millions of people amid difficult living conditions and the presence of a great danger from terrorism, most notably ISIS. We also call on the International Coalition to take a clear and frank position on these attacks and the need to put an end to them, as they threaten the gains made against terrorism and negatively affect the situation in general, and threaten security and safety. We also call on the Russian Federation to take a clear position on this escalation because it poses an unlimited danger to our regions. Only, but it is a direct rebound on all Syrian regions.

We also call on the government of Damascus and all parties keen on the unity of Syria, to have positions regarding this aggression, which is targeting all of Syria in the geography of northern and eastern Syria. It is wrong to read the scene without this logic, and it is a clear violation of Syria’s sovereignty and the targeting of service facilities and institutions that serve all Syrians.

In conclusion, we call on all components of our people to unite and join hands, as they have always been throughout the crisis. With this unity, it was able to deter all projects of sedition and destruction and maintain its unity. This was the successful strategic choice through which our people were able to preserve their gains and their great inheritance.

We call for full readiness and raising it to the highest level on the basis of defense, self-protection and legitimate rights. Emphasizing that the unity of our people, their awareness, and their adoption of the democratic nation project and following this approach is the basis for protecting our regions, deterring Turkish aggression, and thwarting all plans of sedition and destruction. A path towards sustainable victory, liberating our occupied territories, and building a new, democratic, pluralistic, and decentralized Syria.

We pledge to our people that we will continue to protect their gains as well, and we will continue to struggle with them until they achieve their goals of building their free will and free society.”
