DAA representative in Lebanon Meets head of Lebanese Democratic Party Talal Arslan

The Representative of the Democratic Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (DAA) in Lebanon, Abdul Salam Ahmed, met with the head of the Lebanese Democratic Party, Talal Arslan, the discussions focused on recent violent events that took place in Sweida Governorate.

During the meeting, Abdul Salam Ahmed conveyed the greetings of the General Commander of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), Mazloum Abdi, reaffirming the strong historical ties between the Kurdish and Druze peoples. He emphasized that the SDF stands firmly with the people of Sweida in particular, and with the Syrian people in general, in confronting the current challenges.

For his part, Prince Talal Arslan praised the positions of the Autonomous Administration and its ongoing support for the people of Sweida, commending the assistance and contributions it has provided during these difficult times.

The visit comes within the framework of strengthening ties between the Autonomous Administration and Lebanon, following the recent visit by Deputy Co-Chair of the DAA’s Department of Foreign Relations, Badran Çia Kurd, accompanied by Abdul Salam Ahmed, to the Druze religious leader, Sheikh Abu Youssef Amin Al-Sayegh, in the town of Sharon.
