Co-chair of Water Directorate sends message from Tishrin Dam 

The Turkish occupation state and its mercenaries continue their attacks on various areas in the North and East Syria region, particularly the Tishrin Dam, which has been one of the primary sources of electricity and water in the region for over a month. The attacks have caused water and electricity outages across different areas in the Euphrates Canton.

In response to these attacks and to protect the dam, the people of North and East Syria have been holding protests at the Tishrin Dam for the past four days, which ANHA agency is covering, along with the shelling of the dam and its surroundings.

Masoud Buzi, Co-chair of the Water Directorate in the Euphrates Canton, who is participating in the sit-in at the dam with the locals, spoke to ANHA agency from the dam.

He pointed out that they had gathered at the dam to protect it and express their rejection of these crimes. He commented on the dangers and threats facing the dam, saying, "The Euphrates River provides water and electricity to the city of Kobani, and now the locals are suffering and facing great difficulties. We are deeply upset when we see water cut off despite its availability, due to the attacks."

Masoud Buzi clarified that they would continue their protests at the dam until the risks are gone, no matter the challenges, until the last day of their lives.

In response to the attacks by the Turkish occupation state and its mercenaries, the people of North and East Syria went to the Tishrin Dam on January 8 and started protests and shifts there, with new crowds joining every day.
