Church of Our Lady in Tel Nasri south of Tel Tamr vandalized, robbed 

The Church of Our Lady in the village of Tel Nasri, south of the city of Tel Tamr, was attacked on Thursday in an incident involving vandalism and theft targeting its property, in addition to damage caused to its surroundings, provoking widespread condemnation among local residents.

According to available information, the attack included the theft of the church bell and the cutting down of several trees within the church compound, causing both material and moral damage to a religious site regarded as a spiritual and historical symbol for the people of the village.

Residents of the area condemned the acts, stressing that such practices are intended to incite discord and undermine the state of coexistence among the region’s communities, which have long been known for their stable social relations.

The residents called on the relevant authorities to launch an urgent investigation to uncover the circumstances surrounding the incident and pursue those responsible, reaffirming their commitment to civil peace and their rejection of any attempts to target the social fabric of the region.
