In the city of Tel Tamr, Kongra Star organized a massive public celebration under the slogan, "April 4th: The Day of the Birth of Women's Freedom and a Democratic Society." The event was held at the Kanir Hall in the city center, with the participation of hundreds of residents representing the city's various communities, alongside representatives from political parties and civil society institutions.

Tel Tamr

The celebration witnessed a remarkable turnout, as participants held aloft banners and chanted slogans affirming their unwavering adherence to the thought and philosophy of Leader Abdullah Ocalan a philosophy grounded in democracy and freedom.

The event featured a speech delivered by Tekoşîn Afrîn, a leading figure within the Women's Protection Units (YPJ). In her address, she emphasized that Leader Abdullah Ocalan's ideology has empowered women with a pioneering role in building a democratic society and has significantly contributed to enhancing their participation across various spheres of life.

She further underscored the critical importance of organization and collective action in confronting challenges and in constructing a society founded upon the principles of justice and equality.

The celebration also included a diverse array of artistic and cultural performances that embodied the spirit of resistance and steadfastness.

Additionally, the residents of Tel Tamr undertook a symbolic environmental initiative to mark Leader Abdullah Ocalan's birthday: planting trees at the city's Martyrs' Shrine.

Tirbespiyê

The various communities of the city of Tirbespiyê also celebrated this occasion at the April 4th Park. During the ceremony, Montaha Mahmoud, a member of Kongra Star, delivered a speech in which she emphasized that "the birth of Leader Abdullah Ocalan marks the day of the resurgence of freedom for the Kurdish people and all other communities."

She added: "Today, we celebrate and renew our pledge to the Leader to continue the struggle and to work in accordance with his emancipatory philosophy, driven by our conviction in his capacity to guide this critical phase in the Middle East."

The Martyr Bawer Music Troupe performed a selection of songs, met with enthusiastic engagement from the audience. They were followed by the artist Newroz Afrin, who performed several of her musical works, which were received with great enthusiasm by the participants.

Kurdish artist Danish Botan also enlivened the ceremony with revolutionary songs. The artistic program concluded with musical performances presented by the Martyr Xebat Troupe, affiliated with the Hezel Center for Culture and Art.

Girkê Legê

Residents of the cities of Girkê Legê and Rimêlan—along with those from neighboring villages celebrated the occasion at the Community Protection Forces (HPC) Center. During the ceremony, Fatma Lekto, a member of Kongra Star, delivered a speech congratulating the attendees on this occasion. She affirmed that the birth of Leader Ocalan represents the birth of peace and freedom, and that his philosophy has contributed to fostering love and tolerance among diverse communities.

She further noted that the peoples of the region are indebted to Leader Abdullah Ocalan, as well as to his revolution and struggle, particularly women, whom he liberated from oppression and tyranny. She regarded the "Peace and Democratic Society" project he initiated as a gateway to achieving peace for all peoples. The celebration featured artistic performances by the troupes "Koma Shahid Elina" and "Koma Kevnshobi," concluding with a repertoire of revolutionary songs performed by a number of artists, all set amidst a festive atmosphere enlivened by circles of Dabke dancing.
