Assassination of senior officer of Damascus forces in Daraa countryside
In continuation of the security chaos in Daraa, an officer with the rank of “major” was assassinated in the northern countryside.
A senior officer with the rank of "major" was assassinated as a result of being targeted by gunfire by unidentified gunmen near the village of Al-Faqi' in the northern countryside of Daraa, according to the SOHR.
The officer comes from the Hama countryside and is a member of the Ninth Division of the Damascus Forces, he works at the Saraya checkpoint connecting the city of Jassim and the village of Al-Faqi’, north of Daraa.
Thus, the total number of attacks in Daraa since the beginning of January, according to the Syrian Observatory, has reached 37 incidents of security chaos, all of which took place in different ways and methods, and caused the death of 56 people.
