Arrest of 2 ISIS mercenaries in Qamishlo

The Syrian Democratic Forces announced, through a statement to public opinion, that its military operations teams carried out a security operation in the city of Qamishlo, which ended with the dismantling of an ISIS mercenary cell and the arrest of two of its members.

Regarding the operation, the SDF Media Center stated: "Yesterday, Saturday, the military operations teams (TOL) affiliated with our forces, the Syrian Democratic Forces, carried out a security operation in the city of Qamishlo, which aimed to dismantle a cell of the terrorist organization "ISIS" that was trying to commit terrorist acts in the city.

The operation took place after our forces completed the search and investigation operations and collected information about the cell, and then were able to determine its hiding place, so they raided the den in which it was hiding, and arrested two members of the cell, the terrorists "Osama Muhammad al-Ahmad" and "Issa Muhammad al-Ahmad".

The terrorists were planning to carry out terrorist operations in the city by planting explosive devices, targeting public and private places, spreading terrorism, and causing chaos and confusion among the people."

The forces confirmed that they will not be lenient with ISIS mercenary cells, and will pursue its remnants until they are eradicated from their roots, and maintain security and stability in the region of North and East Syria.
