Amina Khadro, a member of the Syrian Initiative for the Freedom of Leader Abdullah Ocalan, confirmed that the Kurdish issue is fundamentally linked to the resolution of the leader's case, noting that this issue has entered its twenty-seventh year and that its resolution requires legal and political measures, including the implementation of the "right to hope."

Amina Khadro said that Turkey, as a signatory to European Union charters, including those related to the right to hope, continues to evade the implementation of this right. She added that Turkish authorities have imposed a complete isolation on the leader in the past period, and this isolation is still partially ongoing.

She explained that these steps taken by Turkey are insufficient, affirming that every prisoner has the right to "the right to hope." She pointed out that leader Abdullah Ocalan, with his thoughts and philosophy over the past years, has managed to gain widespread popular support within Kurdish, Middle Eastern, and even global circles.

She added that the call for peace and a democratic society launched by the leader constituted a qualitative leap toward solving the Kurdish issue and ending the historical conflict within Turkey, noting that this call received wide international acceptance, describing it as a historic call for this stage.

In the same context, Amina Khadro said that the Turkish authorities have shown a delay in taking practical steps, contrary to what is being circulated by a wide range of human rights activists, politicians, and parliamentarians around the world, who have joined global campaigns to end the isolation of leader Abdullah Ocalan, resolve the Kurdish issue, and achieve his physical freedom. She emphasized that what is required from Turkey is to take concrete steps and not just rely on media statements.

Speaking about the steps taken by the Kurdistan Freedom Movement, Amna Khadro pointed out that the Freedom Movement has fulfilled its moral and humanitarian duty to protect the Kurdish people over the past fifty years. She added that after the leader's call, the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) responded by holding its conference directly and announcing the dissolution of the party, followed by other steps, including the burning of weapons and the withdrawal of the guerrillas from Northern Kurdistan.

She emphasized that these steps were taken to achieve real and tangible peace, not just symbolic gestures, and stressed that the other party should have reciprocated with similar steps.

She added that the statements issued by the Turkish authorities remained timid and did not contribute to turning this call into a practical reality, which has led to obstructing the peace process to this day.

Amina Khadro pointed out that the Kurdistan Freedom Movement, after a year since the party's dissolution, continued to play an active role in making this process successful, but it has reached an impasse, and she mentioned that the reason for this is due to the Turkish authorities.

She warned that the continuation of this situation could lead to new crises in the coming period, similar to the crises currently witnessed in the Middle East, which have intensified and deepened, including the Kurdish issue.

She emphasized that the resolution of the Kurdish issue is now linked to the resolution of various Middle Eastern issues, pointing out that the Kurdish issue is no longer confined to a national framework or within the borders of just four countries, but has become a global issue in light of the Kurdish people's presence around the world.

She added that the Turkish authorities ignore the will of the Kurdish people, as well as the other peoples who support the freedom of leader Abdullah Ocalan and demand the fulfillment of the Kurdish people's demands in the four parts of Kurdistan, calling on the Turkish authorities to respect the will of the peoples.

In this context, she referred to some statements made by the leader of the Turkish Nationalist Movement Party, Devlet Bahçeli, describing them as timid remarks, while affirming that any political path requires serious and practical steps on the ground.

Amna Khadro also spoke about the presence of a wide elite in the Middle East, the Arab world, and Europe, including human rights figures, politicians, and religious leaders, who have joined the campaigns demanding an end to the isolation imposed on leader Abdullah Ocalan and the achievement of his physical freedom.

She added that these elites, along with broad segments of the population, have become familiar with the thought and philosophy of leader Abdullah Ocalan and have come to see that the democratic project he proposes namely, the project of a democratic nation and democratic integration represents the most suitable solution for the peoples of the Middle East and their issues.

She asserted that this project is incompatible with the current global political climate, capitalist systems, and international hegemony, adding that the isolation and obstacles imposed on leader Abdullah Ocalan are part of this context, aimed at preventing peoples from achieving their freedom.

Amina Khadro emphasized that the peoples who have become acquainted with the leader's thought and philosophy will continue their struggle by all political and legal means until his freedom is achieved. She addressed a message to the European Union and the Security Council, urging them to take serious steps to resolve this issue.

She also sent a message to the peoples and forces that supported leader Abdullah Ocalan and defended his ideas, calling for the continuation of the struggle and persistence until his freedom is achieved, considering that with the leader's freedom, all peoples will attain their freedom.

She added that the current phase requires legal, parliamentary, and political steps from the European Union, warning that the current delay serves the Turkish authorities.

At the end of her speech, Amna Khadro said that the Turkish authorities have a long legacy of deception and betrayal of peoples, and they seek to thwart revolutions and prevent the Kurds from obtaining their rights and freedom, affirming that the Kurdish people will continue to demand their rights in international political and legal forums.

She emphasized the necessity for European countries to play their historical role toward the peoples who have made great sacrifices for freedom, concluding her speech by affirming that the freedom of all peoples, including the Kurdish people, is linked to the freedom of leader Abdullah Ocalan.
