Under the slogan “For the construction of a democratic society, we will intensify our struggle and guarantee the physical freedom of Leader Ocalan,” the Youth Council in Aleppo organized a rally in support of the peace process led by leader Abdullah Ocalan and to publicly express their wish to meet him.

The rally, which began in front of the March 8 Hall in the Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood of Aleppo, drew the participation of residents, members and representatives of political parties, civil institutions, and youth groups.

Participants carried photographs of leader Abdullah Ocalan and banners reading: “For the construction of a democratic society, we will intensify our struggle and guarantee the physical freedom of Leader Ocalan,” and “We also want to meet Leader Ocalan.”

The demonstrators chanted slogans saluting the resistance of the Leader in Imrali and praising his efforts in laying the foundations of peace.

In a speech delivered during the rally, Sidra Mohammed, the member of the Young Women’s Union, stated:“We raise our voices in the name of free women, in the name of all those who have rejected shackles and confronted isolation. The continued imposition of isolation by the Turkish occupation on Leader Abdullah Ocalan is not merely a legal violation, but a historic crime committed against peoples who aspire to freedom and believe in the Leader’s message.”

Mohammed Nour Allo, the member of the Revolutionary Youth Movement in Syria, added:" The procrastination of the Turkish occupation authorities and their continued imposition of isolation on Leader Abdullah Ocalan in Imrali Prison constitutes a flagrant violation of all laws and norms, and a political and moral crime against peoples yearning for freedom and inspired by the Leader’s thought.

On behalf of the Revolutionary Youth of Syria, we declare our accession to the international campaign ‘I Want to Meet Leader Abdullah Ocalan’.

This campaign, which has brought together the voices of writers, intellectuals, women’s movements, and youth from across the world, is a cry against injustice and a call to intensify the struggle until victory is achieved and the physical freedom of the Leader is achieved.
