The Youth of the Democratic Union Party (PYD) held an expanded meeting in the city of Hasaka in the Al-Jazira Canton, to discuss the political and security developments in the region, in the presence of the member of the party's co-presidency, Aldar Khalil.

The meeting, which was held at the party's center in the Kababa neighborhood, was attended by dozens of members from various cities and districts of Hasaka.

During the meeting, Aldar Khalil addressed the general political situation in Syria in his speech, and stressed that the ongoing attacks targeting the Tishrin Dam area and the Qarqozaq Bridge come within the context of a clear Turkish plan to divide Syrian lands, warning of the danger of these attacks that threaten the unity and stability of Syria.

Khalil stressed that military operations have stopped in most parts of Syria, except for the areas in the north and east of the country, which are being subjected to continuous attacks by the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries. He added: "Today, those who are attacking Tishreen Dam and Qarqozaq Bridge are the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries who have sold themselves to it. These attacks are not just military attacks, but rather a clear attempt to impose a new reality on the ground, with the aim of dividing Syria and undermining its stability."

He also wondered about the position of the Damascus authorities on these mercenary groups that previously claimed to dissolve themselves and join the Syrian army, saying: "Are they internal or external? If they are external, then where is this government that claims to be a Syrian government?"

Khalil praised the resistance shown by the people of NE Syria at Tishreen Dam, describing it as a historical resistance that must be recorded in memory, stressing that defending the dam is a national responsibility that falls on the shoulders of all Syrians, not just the residents of the region.

At the end of his speech, member of the co-presidency of the Democratic Union Party, Aldar Khalil, stressed the role of the youth at this stage, calling on them to confront the plans of the Turkish occupation and stand by the Syrian Democratic Forces, as they are the only force that protects Syria and preserves the rights of all its components.
