Al-Jabbour tribe: Leader Ocalan' Message is universal, not just for Syria.

Recently, from his prison on Imrali Island, leader Ocalan sent a message to the Arab tribes in Syria, calling for peace between Kurds and Arabs and emphasizing the importance of supporting the Syrian Democratic Forces.

In this context, Sheikh Ali Hamad Al-Asaad told ANHA Agency that the authentic tribes and clans in Syria had been neglected and lost their influence since the Baath regime came to power. He said: "Tribes in Syria, whether Arab, Kurdish, or other groups such as Chaldeans and Armenians, have had their authority taken from the original tribal leaders since 1963 when the Baath regime took power."

He added: “They brought in people—we do not want to diminish their value—but their identities and positions are known. They were made representatives of the tribes, and thus the original tribes lost their real significance."

Notable Al-Asaad confirmed that leader Ocalan’s message reminded them that tribes and tribal leaders still have importance after being neglected by the former Baath regime. He described the leader ’s message as “universal,” not local, saying: "It is for all tribes, whether in Jazira, Raqqa, al-Tabqa, other areas of Syria, and beyond."

In conclusion, Notable Ali Hamad Al-Asaad emphasized that their stance toward leader Ocalan’s message to the Arab tribes is positive. He stated that the Al-Jabbour tribe and other Arab tribes welcome all positive messages and reject any negative ones.
