The Martyrs' Families Council in Ain Issa and Kobane cities, in the Euphrates region of North and East Syria, issued statements to the public opinion on Thursday.

The statement was read in the courtyard of the Girê Spî camp by the council member Hadla Haj Muslim, the mother of the martyr Bashar, in the presence of dozens of martyrs' families residing in the camp.

In the city of Kobane, the statement was read at the Martyr Dijla Shrine in the city of Kobane, by Hiba Mamo, the member of the Martyrs' Families Council in the Euphrates region, in the presence of the families of the martyrs in the city of Kobane.

The statement condemned the targeting of the martyrs' shrines in the Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafiyeh neighborhoods by the Syrian Transitional Government Forces, considering it a blatant violation of their religious sanctities.

It emphasized that the martyrs' shrines are not merely sites or landmarks, but living testaments to the immense sacrifices made by the sons and daughters of Syria from all components and affiliations in defense of dignity, homeland, and territorial integrity. The statement asserted that attacking these shrines is an attack on the memory of Syrians and a desperate attempt to undermine the symbolism and noble values of martyrdom.

The statement stressed that these attacks cannot be justified under any pretext, as they constitute a moral and national crime that warrants condemnation and accountability.

In the statement, the council renewed its pledge to all the martyrs that their pure blood will remain a beacon guiding the path of the free people, and that such attacks will not deter them from adhering to their principles and continuing the struggle for a united Syria, based on justice and respect for human beings and their dignity.
