After intensive efforts by the Mesopotamia Association, a humanitarian convoy of 17 trucks carrying approximately 450 tons of relief, medical, and food supplies arrived at dawn today in the city of Kobani. The aid was provided by the Eighth Channel in Southern Kurdistan to help ease the humanitarian crisis the city has been experiencing for more than a month.

The convoy included food baskets, baby milk and diapers, quantities of rice and blankets, as well as essential medical and relief materials. The aid was distributed to residents according to need-based criteria to ensure that support reached the most affected families.

This distribution comes at a time when more than 600,000 people, including thousands of displaced individuals from surrounding villages, are facing harsh living conditions due to the blockade imposed by factions of the interim government since January 20, leading to a severe shortage of food and medical supplies.
