After Palmyra attack, SDF's Mazloum Abdi urges stronger anti-terror efforts

The Commander-in-Chief of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) called for intensified joint efforts at the national level to combat “terrorism” and its cells, following an attack on a delegation of the International Coalition near the city of Palmyra in the Syrian desert.

SDF Commander-in-Chief Mazloum Abdi expressed deep regret, in a post on the X platform, over the injury of a number of General Security members and U.S. soldiers after they came under gunfire in the Syrian desert while carrying out their duties.

Abdi noted that the increase in such attacks requires stronger determination and greater joint national efforts in operations to combat “terrorism” and its sleeper cells.

A delegation of the International Coalition was attacked near the city of Palmyra in the Syrian desert, resulting in injuries among U.S. forces.
