Afrin Association: Killing Kurds has become systematic policy in occupied Afrin

The Association made a statement in front of the building of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, condemning the murder of the Kurdish minor, Ahmed Khaled Mamo in Afrin.

The people of Afrin and members of the Democratic Society Movement participated in the statement, raising banners reading “Afrin is not alone” and pictures of the martyrs of Newroz 2023 and the boy Ahmed Mamo.

The statement was read by the member of the Afrin Social Association and the member of the Relations Office of the Democratic Society Movement, Jihan Hussein.

Jihan recalled the four martyrs of Newroz 2023 who were killed by the Turkish occupation mercenaries in the Janders district of occupied Afrin, and added: “Yesterday, the Turkish state’s mercenaries brutally killed a child, and this crime occurred in Ramadan, as Afrin is witnessing a state of chaos, and these are violations.” and crimes against humanity.”

Jihan stressed that the crime of killing a child is not just an individual act, as killing the Kurds and hatred against them has become a method in Afrin. Before this, a Kurdish shepherd was killed.

Jihan Hussein called on the concerned authorities and human rights organizations to hold criminals accountable, and liberate Afrin from the occupiers.

The statement concluded with the slogans "Long live the Afrin resistance" and "Martyrs are immortal."
