Through a telegram, the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria extended its condolences to the peoples of the United States and Montenegro and to the families of the victims of the tragic incidents that took place on Wednesday.

The telegram read as follows:

"With deep sorrow and sadness, we received distressing news about a series of tragic incidents that occurred yesterday, Wednesday, claiming the lives of dozens of innocent people in the United States and Montenegro.

In the United States, a horrific terrorist attack took place in New Orleans early Wednesday morning, where an armed individual drove a truck into a crowd celebrating New Year's Eve, resulting in 15 deaths and over 30 injuries. In another incident in Las Vegas, a Tesla truck exploded in front of the Trump Hotel, killing one person inside the vehicle and injuring seven others with minor wounds.

Meanwhile, in Montenegro, an armed individual opened fire in a small town, killing 10 people, including two innocent children, before attempting to take his own life.

We, in the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, extend our deepest condolences and sympathies to the families of the victims of these tragic incidents. We express our profound solidarity with the peoples of the United States and Montenegro in facing these calamities, particularly as ISIS sleeper cell attacks have increased in our regions, taking advantage of the chaos and attacks by Turkish forces and their affiliated factions.

We strongly condemn these crimes that target innocent lives during moments that are meant to be filled with joy and peace. We affirm that these incidents, especially the terrorist attack in New Orleans, where the perpetrator is suspected to be linked to ISIS, provide further evidence that the threat of terrorism endangers the entire world, not just specific regions.

We have previously warned of ISIS sleeper cell activities, and we renew our call to intensify international efforts to confront this growing threat. We also firmly reject all forms of violence and terrorism, regardless of their motives and objectives."
