8 mercenaries killed, over 16 others injured south of Manbij

The Media Center of the Syrian Democratic Forces released information today regarding the attacks by Turkish occupation mercenaries and the forces' response within the framework of legitimate defense.

The SDF confirmed that six mercenaries were killed and nine others were injured as the forces repelled an attack by Turkish occupation mercenaries on the Syriatel front, south of Manbij, on Tuesday afternoon. A military vehicle was also destroyed in the same area.

The forces noted that four mercenaries were injured during an SDF operation in the village of Tal Arsh, south of Manbij, where a mercenary position was also destroyed.

The SDF stated: "As part of the Turkish occupation mercenaries' attempts to launch an attack on the Deir Hafer front yesterday, Tuesday, the Martyr Haroun Units targeted their gatherings as they were preparing for the attack, resulting in the killing of two mercenaries and the injury of two others, while the rest fled."

The forces also reported that two mercenaries on a motorcycle attempted to infiltrate SDF positions in the area. They were targeted, injuring one mercenary, while the other fled, leaving behind the motorcycle. Meanwhile, SDF fighters used heavy weapons to strike a mercenary gathering in the village of Imam, but the extent of their losses remains unknown.

In response to the brutal attacks by the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries on civilian-populated villages, the Women's Protection Units (YPJ) carried out an operation at 8:00 AM on Tuesday, targeting Turkish occupation bases, one in the village of "Aniq al-Hawa" and another in "Hamdoush" in the Tel Tamr countryside. However, the number of casualties and injuries among Turkish occupation forces remains unknown.

As a result of the SDF operations on Tuesday, at least 8 mercenaries were killed, more than 16 others were injured, and a military vehicle along with two mercenary positions were destroyed.
