The official agency of the Damascus government quoted a military source: “At approximately 05:22 on February 5, 2024, the Israeli enemy launched an air attack from the direction of the occupied Syrian Golan, targeting a site in the vicinity of Damascus. The aggression resulted in the injury of eight soldiers and some material losses.”

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said: “Explosions sounded in the southern and southwestern Damascus countryside, as a result of an Israeli bombing of a General Intelligence training center, which had been seized by the Lebanese Hezbollah in 2014, and turned into a detention center, near the town of Najha in the Damascus countryside.”

The skies also witnessed Israeli drones, coinciding with explosions in the southwestern Damascus countryside near the administrative border with Quneitra Governorate.
