7 killed over massive explosion in rural Idlib

The death toll has risen following a massive explosion inside a house in eastern rural Idlib. The blast was caused by remnants of war stored inside the house. According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, the number of casualties is expected to increase, as there are missing persons and critically injured victims.

The death toll has risen to seven, including a woman and a child, the explosion was caused by remnants of war stored inside the house, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.

The Observatory indicated that the toll is likely to rise due to the presence of critically injured individuals, as well as missing persons.

It is noted that the house belonged to a person who worked in collecting and selling war remnants as scrap.

Since the beginning of 2025, the number of people killed due to explosions caused by remnants of the Syrian war has reached 195, including 35 children and 7 women. Additionally, 236 others have been injured, including 103 children and 3 women.
