7 ISIS mercenaries arrested in Al-Hol Camp
The "Enduring Security" Operations Room announced the arrest of seven ISIS mercenaries this morning inside Al-Hol camp in Jazera Canton.
In a statement published on the official website of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), the Enduring Security Operations Room said, "As part of the 'Enduring Security' operation launched by our forces, the Syrian Democratic Forces, along with the Women’s Protection Units and Internal Security Forces, to cleanse the Al-Hol area, its surroundings, and the camp itself of ISIS terrorist cells, participating forces conducted searches for terrorist elements. In the early hours of Saturday, November 9, the forces successfully apprehended seven ISIS mercenaries in Al-Hol camp."
The statement indicated that the mercenaries were preparing to carry out "terrorist acts" both inside and outside the camp.
The Enduring Security Operations Room added that "the operation was carried out following meticulous monitoring by the participating forces of the terrorist cell’s movements and its attempts to exploit the humanitarian conditions in the camp to hide and gather weapons, intending to carry out their terrorist activities." The statement emphasized that the operation was fully successful with no harm to civilians residing in the camp.
The statement further confirmed, "The forces participating in the 'Enduring Security' operation assure that the sweeping operation conducted in recent days will make the Al-Hol area, including the camp, safer and more secure after eradicating the terrorist cells."
The Enduring Security operations, launched by the Internal Security Forces, the Syrian Democratic Forces, and the Women’s Protection Units on November 5, continue into their fourth day within Al-Hol camp in Jazera Canton in North and East Syria.
