“Turkish occupation forces and their mercenaries increased their attacks on the rural areas of Manbij in August 2024. All infiltration attempts by the mercenaries were thwarted by the Manbij Military Council.

- Number of civilian injuries: 11 (including children and women)

- Number of mercenary deaths: 7

- Number of mercenary injuries: 22

- Number of martyrs from Manbij Military Council fighters : 4 (at different times in August).

The details of these attacks are as follows:

The Turkish occupation forces and their mercenaries targeted most villages in northern and western Manbij with heavy artillery and mortar fire, creating fear among residents. Despite this, civilians remained in their homes without fleeing.

Here are the names of the villages and the number of shells targeted at them: Al-Hoshriyah: 27 shells, Al-Jat: 28 shells, Darge: 27 shells, Toukhar: 24 shells, Aoun al-Dadat: 81 shells, Al-Muhsinli: 37 shells, Al-Jarad: 44 shells, Arab Hassan: 45 shells, Um Jlood: 78 shells, Um Adassa: 14 shells, Al-Dandaniyah: 39 shells, Al-Sayyadah: 209 shells, Qart Wiran: 18 shells, Al-Kawkli: 59 shells, Kurehiyok: 38 shells, Al-Bughaz: 29 shells, Jablat al-Hamra: 13 shells, Al-Yanli: 15 shells, Al-Buehij: 17 shells.

During August, the villages of Al-Hoshriya, Al-Muhsinli, Al-Jat, Aoun al-Dadat, Al-Toukhair, Darij, Arab Hassan, Al-Jarad, Um Jlood, Um Adasa, Al-Kawkli, Al-Dandaneya, Al-Sayyada, Qart Wiran, Korhiyok, Al-Boghaz, Jebla al-Hamra, Yanli, and Al-Buweij were subjected to brutal shelling by Turkish occupation bases located in the villages of Sheikh Nasser and Al-Yashli near the contact points. These villages were targeted with heavy artillery, mortar shells, and rockets, in a random manner.

However, the Manbij Military Council forces thwarted all attempts by the Turkish occupation to impose control over these villages and foiled all such attacks.

On August 21, 2024, Turkish mercenaries attempted an infiltration into the village of Al-Muhsinli. However, the Manbij Military Council fighters repelled them, thwarted the operation, and inflicted losses on the mercenaries, with two mercenaries killed and two others wounded.

Turkish occupation forces and their mercenaries tried to infiltrate several times into the villages of Manbij countryside throughout August, but all these attempts were thwarted due to the vigilance of the Manbij Military Council forces. After foiling these infiltration attempts, several mercenaries were killed or wounded, and they sustained significant losses in equipment as the remaining mercenaries fled.

Our forces, the Manbij Military Council, confirm their complete readiness and will respond with full force to any party attempting to disrupt the security and stability of the civilians and the region.”
