543 Syrian citizens were killed and injured throughout the country during the year 2023 as a result of explosions caused by remnants of war.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published a documentary report on the losses resulting from the remnants of war spread across all Syrian regions, “as these remnants of mines, explosive devices, and unexploded objects continue to detonate among civilians in various governorates.”

According to the report, since the beginning of this year, 235 civilians have been killed, including 20 women and 72 children, in addition to at least 308 others being injured with varying injuries, including 14 women, 113 children, and 181 men and young men.
