54 civilians martyred, injured in Turkish occupation's bombing of 63 villages, cities, vital facilities

Since Wednesday evening, the Turkish occupation has targeted 63 villages and cities in four cantons in the North and East Syria region, striking dozens of centers and vital facilities that provide services to the local population, as well as security points that protect the area’s residents. These attacks resulted in the martyrdom of 14 civilians and the injury of 40 others, including children.

In a new wave of continuous attacks on the North and East Syria region, the Turkish occupation state launched assaults using warplanes, drones, and artillery, beginning at 9:45 p.m. on Wednesday, October 23.

Afrin and Shahba Canton

-The city of Tal Rifaat was hit with brutal bombardment, leading to the martyrdom of four civilians: Jamila Waqas Khalil (37 years old), the child Malak Shiyar (5 years), Ibrahim Sheikhou (55 years), and Mohammad Waqfi (47 years). Ten others were injured, including Ahmad Rifai (15 years) and Sakina Mohammad Ismail (55 years).

-Seventeen villages in Afrin’s Shara and Shirawa districts and Shahba villages were also targeted, including Sha’ala, Kharbat Sha’ala, Harbel, Umm al-Qura, Umm Housh, Sheikh Isa, Minagh, Tanab, Shwargha, Deir Qaq, Samouqa, and Shahba Dam.

-Near Sardem Camp in Tal Sousen village, two civilians were injured, including Ahmad Marwan Ahmad (65 years).

Euphrates Canton

-The city center of Kobani was targeted by drones multiple times, impacting the southern electricity station (66/20 kV A transformer station), Internal Security Forces points, the city’s automated bakery, the vicinity of the Furat Hall on the Aleppo-Jarabulus road, the sports field, an Internal Security checkpoint, and the grain silos in Roufi village.

-Shoyukh Fawqani village in the city’s western countryside was hit by artillery.

-Villages in Ain Issa and Tal Abyad/Gire Spi rural areas were also targeted, including al-Mushayrfa, al-Saidan silos, Dwalib, Sayda, and Mughlaq. Turkish forces also shelled the Ain Issa camp, the M4 international road, and villages of Qaz’ali, Qarafli, Umm Huwaish, Kharabat Aloush, Arida, and Kur Hassan.

-This shelling caused a power outage in Kobani city and the automated bakery to go offline.

-In Kobani’s city center, a member of the Internal Security Forces, Hanoush Baki, was martyred, and four others were injured while carrying out their duties. Additionally, a 3-year-old girl, Nadia Mustafa, was injured. Hussein Daas, a worker in Kobani’s grain silos in Roufi village, was also martyred.

-Seven workers were injured while on duty at the Roufi grain silos, with names recorded in city hospital logs, including Abed al-Raouf Mahmoud al-Mohammed from Raqqa, Ibrahim Mahmoud al-Mohammed, Jihad Juma al-Mohammed, Ahmad Mahmoud al-Mohammed, Abdullah al-Ali Mohammed, Alawi al-Hussein al-Arou, and Mohammad Suleiman Skifi.

Manbij Canton

-The villages of Sayyada, Aoun al-Dadat, Tohar, Derij, Dandaniya, Arab Hassan, Bweir Spring, Qart Wiran, Kawakli, and al-Houta were targeted multiple times.

The village of Bania was also shelled, resulting in the martyrdom of Farah al-Barhou (11 years) and injuries to two children, Abdulrahman al-Barhou (13 years) and Samir al-Barhou (8 years).

Jazera Canton

-In Qamishlo city, the Internal Security Center in the Anteriya neighborhood, another Internal Security checkpoint in Halko neighborhood, the Gulf Clinic in Halko, the grain silos in Anteriya, the northern city belt area, the SADCOP fuel distribution center in the Suez Canal neighborhood, the Agricultural Development Company Center in Anteriya, and the train station were all hit.

Shelling caused significant material damage to the Gulf Clinic, rendering it out of service, and approximately 100 tons of stored flour were destroyed at the Agricultural Development Center.

-The Internal Security Forces Center in Ali Faru village, Qamishlo countryside, was also targeted.

-The vicinity of the villages of Mirka Mira, Tabki, Kri Fra, Bana Shkafati, and Mount Karachok was targeted by drones, as were the areas near the Rmelan town and Ain Twail village.

-Villages in Tal Tamr countryside were also struck, including Western Tal al-Ward, Khirbat al-Sha'ir, Rabia’at, al-Tawila, Tal Twail, Umm al-Kaif, al-Ouja, and Qabr Kabir West and al-Dawoudia.

-In Amuda, the electricity distribution station and its surroundings, the automated bakery in Hussein Roumi village at the eastern entrance, and the emergency power service center near Harm Sheikho village were targeted, along with Hasida village in Amuda’s countryside.

-The Syriatel communications tower in Kubez village, near Darbasiyah, was also bombed, causing a phone network outage.

The area near Kar Ziarat in the Girkê Legê countryside was shelled.

-Several oil and gas stations were targeted by drones and warplanes multiple times, including the Suwaidiya Station, the Suwaidiya Gas Factory, the Tufula Oil Gathering Station near Dêrik, and the Saida, Awda, and Babasi stations in Kêl Hesnak village, Zarbi Station in Shalomiya village, a diesel storage site near Kri Birê village, two oil wells nearby, and a firefighting point in Tirbespî countryside.

-At 2:30 a.m. on Thursday, shelling on the Suwaidiya Station in Dêrik’s countryside resulted in the martyrdom of seven workers: Mizer al-Hassan, Issam al-Sabiha, Atallah al-Khader, Bashar al-Awaid, Mahmoud al-Hussein, Fadel al-Khad’an, and Elias Issa.

-Dozens were also injured, with 14 known cases, including guards Faisal Aziz, Daher Suleiman Mohammad, Bashar Mahmoud Mohammad, Abd al-Baqi al-Hussein, Hossam al-Dhiab, Abdullah Mohammad al-Muhammed, Abd al-Amouri, Masoud Khalil, Hussein Mohammad al-Rajab, Abd al-Nasir al-Muhammed, Mohammad Hamza al-Hasso, Abdullah Hussein Ibrahim, Ahmad Hamed al-Ramo, and Saad Allah Ahmad al-Hussein.

-In the early hours of Friday, Turkish drones bombed an Internal Security checkpoint on the Andiwar road in Dêrik’s countryside, followed by renewed shelling on Kar Qafq village, with three new strikes.

Response to the attacks

In response to the ongoing attacks, violations, and crimes by the Turkish occupation, the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) announced that they conducted two successful operations targeting Turkish occupation bases and mercenary positions near the villages of Aneq al-Hawa and al-Dawoudia in Zarkan’s countryside, south of occupied SereKaniye, killing and injuring several Turkish occupation soldiers and mercenaries.

Additionally, the Manbij Military Council and the Kurdish Front Forces responded with a series of strikes on Turkish bases.

In a joint statement, the forces stated that on Thursday, they targeted Turkish occupation bases in the villages of Karbijli, Shawa, Sheikh Nasser, Baldaq, and Sheikh Aqil in northern and western Manbij countryside, resulting in casualties among the occupation forces and their mercenaries.
