According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, at least 5 people were killed in various parts of Syria over the past 24 hours. The victims included 3 children who died in separate violent incidents, reflecting ongoing security chaos and the widening scope of danger across the country.

In Homs, one person was killed by direct gunfire. A similar crime was reported in the town of Al-Shuhail in eastern Deir ez-Zor countryside, where a young man was shot dead by a relative due to an old dispute.

The same town witnessed another tragic incident when a child was killed after a war remnant exploded as he was playing with it, a recurring scenario that highlights the persistent threat of unexploded ordnance to civilians, particularly children.

In the nearby town of Al-Hawaij, another child was killed by a stray bullet of unknown origin, further underscoring the lack of security and widespread presence of weapons. A third child was killed in the village of Al-Sharqliyah in western Homs countryside, after being shot by two individuals on a motorcycle.

These incidents reaffirm the ongoing threats to civilians, especially children, amid a lack of real security stability, the unchecked spread of weapons, and the absence of effective mechanisms to clear remnants of war.
