At least 27 people have been killed in Syria in the past 24 hours.

At least 27 people were killed in Syria in the past 24 hours, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, in a renewed wave of violence that included field executions, mine explosions, unsolved assassinations, and the discovery of mass graves.
In the Damascus countryside, an eight-year-old child was killed by a landmine explosion in the Jerd Ras al-Maara area. In a separate incident in the same town, a man known as "Khatar," who had collaborated with military formations during the previous regime, was killed under mysterious circumstances in the town of Hafeer al-Fouqa.
In the city of Homs, violence escalated significantly when the body of a retired air defense officer from the Baathist regime, Haitham Mahmoud (75), was found shot dead in the vicinity of the Baba Amr neighborhood in what was described as a "field execution." In another development, four members of the Damascus security forces were killed in an armed attack on a security checkpoint in the village of Barouha in the countryside of Talkalakh, while the same village witnessed the killing of five civilians in a raid carried out by local armed groups believed to be linked to the Damascus Ministry of Defense.
Tartus also witnessed an assassination carried out by unknown gunmen traveling in a white Kia Rio car, killing a young man near the bakery in the city center.
In the Hama countryside, a mass grave was discovered inside a water well in the town of Al-Talisia, containing the remains of more than ten people, believed to have died in previous periods. A young man was also killed in the village of Turkman Musa in the Al-Houla area by masked men on a motorcycle, while another was killed in the village of Ma'rin al-Jabal, near the city of Masyaf, after being attacked inside his shop.
Meanwhile, an 18-year-old Alawite youth was killed at a security checkpoint in the town of Shin in the Homs countryside while on his way to work with a colleague on a motorcycle, shot by gunmen affiliated with forces loyal to the Damascus regime.
In Aleppo province, a former member of the Al-Quds Brigade was killed by unknown gunmen while traveling from the city of Aleppo to the village of Haddadin in its southern countryside.
