 The death toll has risen since the beginning of January to 89, including 19 women and 28 children, as a result of the explosion of mines and objects left over from the Syrian war.

A landmine left over from war exploded in the village of Al-thakhira in Al-Khafsa district in the southern countryside of Aleppo, wounding 2 women who worked as sheep herders at the site.

The remnants of war are spread throughout the Syrian regions that witnessed military attacks during previous years, and constitute a fear among citizens who want to return to their homes and continue their work.

Thus, the death toll since the beginning of January, as a result of the explosion of mines and objects left over from the Syrian war, rose to 89, including 19 women and 28 children, in addition to the injury of 89 people, including 7 women and 48 children, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.
