The "Mash" channel on Telegram stated that "Russian forces repelled an attack carried out by four suicide bombers on the Hmeimim base on Tuesday," explaining that "the attackers attempted to storm the base through the guard posts, but Russian forces confronted them and thwarted the attempt."
The channel confirmed that three of the attackers were killed, while a fourth fled. Russian forces then fired an RPG missile at him, but his fate remains unclear, and it is not known whether he was hit.
It added that the identities of the attackers were confirmed, stating that "all of them were of Uzbek nationality."
