Residents of the southern countryside of the occupied city of Manbij woke up to a horrific crime that claimed the lives of two people. Their burned bodies were found in a remote area after they had been killed, amid the deteriorating security situation in the region.

Villagers from Abu Kahf (22 km south of the occupied city of Manbij) discovered the two bodies beside the road connecting the villages of Abu Kahf and Al-Birah, across from a truck repair workshop in an abandoned area.

Locals indicated that the victims had been murdered and then their bodies burned in an unknown location, based on evidence found at the scene.

The areas of Manbij and its southern countryside have been witnessing a noticeable increase in violence and crime. Recently, there have been reports of thefts of high-voltage electrical cables from the Tishrin Dam lines that supply Aleppo, in addition to thefts of landline phone lines in the villages of the Abu Kahf subdistrict.
