On Wednesday, the commune conference was held in the northern countryside of Raqqa, in the city of Hazima, under the slogan "The Commune Is the Cornerstone of Developing a Democratic Society."

Members of the communes and civil institutions in the northern countryside of Raqqa attended the conference, along with the co-chair of the Executive Council of the province, Mushlab al-Turkan, the co-chair of the Raqqa Military Council, Ayed al-Hadi, and the Internal Security Forces.

The conference began with holding a minute of silence, followed by a welcoming address from the co-chair of the Executive Council of the province, Mushlab al-Turkan, who emphasized the importance of the commune as a fundamental pillar in building society and praised the members' efforts in managing the various aspects of daily life.

Afterwards, Qahraman Hassen, the member of the General Council of the Future Syria Party, spoke about the latest political developments in the region and Syria as a whole.

He asserted that major powers are supporting plans to fragment Syria, and that Arab states should learn from what has happened in Syria. We are going through a difficult time, but the people are the master of the situation, and they must have the final say in determining their own destiny."

Qahraman Hassen added, "External projects in the Middle East, which began with the post-1920 agreements, continue to threaten the unity of the peoples."

He also noted that nation-states are resisting these projects, including the democratic nation project, which represents a democratic model in the face of attempts at hegemony.

This was followed by reading the directives of leader Abdullah Ocalan on the importance of communes and their role in society, by Fehmiyah al-Jassem, the co-chair of the People's Council in Raqqa canton.

She then reviewed the articles related to communes in the Social Contract of the Democratic Autonomous Administration concerning the role of communes in society.

The attendees discussed mechanisms for implementing these provisions and emphasized the need to form commune committees in coordination with the institutions of the Autonomous Administration, stressing the role of women at all levels.

They also emphasized the importance of activating the role of media in raising community awareness, particularly in villages and health centers, and of supporting the families of martyrs by forming a special committee, securing job opportunities, and providing them with basic needs such as water and bread.

The conference participants stressed the importance of peace and stability in the region, expressing their hope that peace will prevail in Syria, given the increasing regional and international challenges.

At its conclusion, the conference issued a number of recommendations and outcomes, which were read by Fehmiyah al-Jassem, the co-chair of the People's Council in Raqqa Canton. The most prominent of which were:

Working towards holding the first general conference of the communes of Raqqa Canton.

Activating the work of the communes in accordance with the social contract and implementing the directive issued by the Democratic People's Council of North and East Syria, designating Saturday of each week as a day for the commune.

Working towards forming commune committees in coordination with the institutions of the Autonomous Administration, while emphasizing the role of women.

Working with human rights and humanitarian organizations to demand the physical freedom of leader Abdullah Ocalan and to advocate for the right to hope.

Supporting the Syrian Democratic Forces and Internal Security Forces in maintaining security and stability.

Similar conferences are scheduled to take place across the Raqqa province in the coming days.
