191 Iranian lawyers protest against Turkish attacks in NE, Syria

191 Iranian lawyers sent a joint letter to the UN Secretary-General, the Human Rights Council, and the European Union, demanding an end to the Turkish occupation's attacks on the regions of North and East Syria. 

 The message stated that the Turkish state's attacks exceed international humanitarian laws and cause significant harm to the people, leading to the displacement of thousands of the region's residents. The lawyers pointed out that targeting the Kurds in North and East Syria will lead to the deterioration of the country's situation, and they announced their support for the people of the region, praising them as an ideal model for fighting terrorism.

 At the end of the letter, the lawyers called on the United Nations and international institutions to send committees to document the crimes committed by the Turkish state in North and East Syria and to put an end to them.

 The Turkish occupation army has been launching violent attacks against the North and East Syria region since December 8, particularly around the Tishrin Dam and the Qara Qozak Bridge south of Kobani.
