As the Turkish occupation continued to target vital installations in the regions of NE, Syria, the Darbasiyah power station went out of service and the Alouk station stopped, with the water sources in Darbasiyah stopping due to the power outage resulting from the targeting of the Amuda power station.

The co-chair of the Darbasiyah Electricity Center, Joan Ahmed, explained that “targeting the Amuda power station led to cutting off the electricity supply to the Darbasiyah station, and thus the electricity was cut off from the Alouk station as well, causing the station to stop working.”
He added during a phone call with ANHA's agency, "At the same time, the city of Darbasiyah lost its water sources due to the power cut off from the wells that supply the city's residents with water."
