​​​​​​​Shervan Darwish: HTS attack Manbij

The Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries escalated their attacks on several areas of NE Syria, “Ain Issa, Tal Tamr, Manbij, and Al-Shahba.” with the deployment of the mercenaries of Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (formerly Al-Nusra Front) on the fronts opposite the forces of the Manbij Military Council.

ANHA agency met with the spokesman for the Manbij Military Council, Sharvan Darwish.

Darwish said: “When the Syrian Democratic Forces launched the “Security Enforcement” operation in Deir ez-Zor and achieved significant progress on the ground, the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries escalated their attacks on the region, a large group of villages have been randomly targeted in villages of Al-Mohsenli, Arab Hassan, Arima, Al-Bugaz, Um Jaloud, and others. The mercenaries also tried more than once to infiltrate several villages, but all their attempts failed.”

He added, "The Turkish occupation claimed that those who launch the attacks are members of the Arab tribes, but this is false and they do not have any relationship or connection with the tribes.

We were able to document the identity of the mercenaries and they are affiliated with the Turkish occupation, as a large group of HTS mercenaries entered the contact lines and stationed in the villages of Al-Bugaz and Korhiuk and attacked our villages several times, but our forces responded to them within the framework of legitimate defense and forced them to retreat and flee, leaving behind them the bodies of their dead. We shared this information and documents with the media outlets.

Darwish made the point clear: “The Turkish occupation tried several times to occupy other parts of Syrian territory, but it failed.

Darwish stressed: “The Manbij Military Council created strong bonds with people of the region due to the sacrifices of all the components whose blood was mixed to preserve their gains and establish their democratic administration.

Shervan Darwish said: “We salute our resistant people and the Arab tribes of whom we belong and who have a special place in our hearts.

He stressed the need to pay attention in this sensitive phase to the plans of the Damascus government and the Turkish occupation because they have united to destabilize stability of the region.

Regarding targeting leaders in the Council Manbij Military Council, Darwish confirmed that these attacks come after the field loss of mercenaries on the fighting fronts, where they are trying to compensate for their losses by targeting our leaders and weakening our forces, but we are clear about our position, the Manbij Military Council, and the force councils supporting us, such as the Al-Bab Military Council, the Kurdish Front, and the Revolutionary Army. We have pledged to our people to sacrifice our lives to complete our mission in protecting the people and the land.
