Muhammad Al-Abo: Turkey, its mercenaries bid to strike security

The co-chair of the Legislative Council in Manbij, Muhammad Ali Al-Abo, confirmed that the attacks of the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries on the region will not be able to undermine the security, stability, and gains achieved by the sacrifices of the martyrs.

Yesterday, the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries launched attacks on some villages located on the front line in the city of Manbij, and used heavy artillery and missiles indiscriminately to strike security and stability in NE Syria, resulting in civilian casualties among the residents of these villages, the destruction of homes, and the displacement of families.

However, their attempts failed without achieving any progress.

Al-Abo said: “We woke up in the city of Manbij and its countryside to new attacks carried out by the Turkish occupation mercenaries along the front line from the western, northern and northern sides, in an attempt to make progress.”

"There was no progress except in (the village of Al-Mohsenli), where there was a slight advance, but the forces of the Manbij Military Council were able to repel this attack along the front line, and currently the situation is back as it was before," he added.

Al-Abo stated: “These attacks were in the name of supporting the tribes in Deir ez-Zor, and were planned in advance. Those who planned this attack wanted to play on the tribal ties in NE Syria to achieve special agendas linked to the outside world in order to strike security and stability.”

He stressed that: "There are wise tribal leaders who prevail over the public interest, so we must stay away from the trumpets of discord that want to strike at security and stability."

Muhammad Ali Al-Abo explained: “The clans have always been a valve for security and stability in the region and will remain.”
