Today, the Democratic Civil Administration in Deir ez-Zor issued a statement about the situation in Deir ez-Zor, reads:

As usual, the Damascus regime sought and is seeking to strike security and stability, through its own war under national and ethnic slogans, trying to create a rift between the administration and its popular base, and here it is today, again tampering with the security and stability of the region by bringing in groups through its illegal passages, in order to hinder our forces to fulfill their moral missions towards their people and to establish security and stability.

And at a time when we renew the pledge to our people to carry on with our duties, we affirm that the fate of this attempt is like the fate of the previous desperate attempts, drawing our confidence from the awareness of our people and the heritage and patriotism of our clans, which have been and still throughout their history are a path for security and civil peace.

Accordingly, we call on everyone, elites and popular, cultural and societal actors, to rise to the level of historical responsibility, give priority to the national interest, and preserve the gains of the revolution that were achieved with the blood of its peopleö and we are on a close date with a free and democratic homeland for all.
