The Zenobia Women's Gathering Council in Manbij made a statement attended by council members, families of martyrs, members of civil councils and committees, and representatives of political parties.

The statement read by the administrator of the Zenobia Women's Gathering Council, Ruwaida Hunaizal.

The statement read "On the International Day of Peace,  that carries with it global efforts and endeavors to end the state of continuous war, and stop the successive conflicts that afflicted the countries of the world, but it could not lay the foundations for peace and stability, because the countries of modern colonialism and capitalism would not have accepted that at the expense of their plans and interests that contradict the permanent state of peace."

The statement referred to the double standards of the dominant regime towards the leader Abdullah Ocalan, saying: "More than forty years ago, the leader Abdullah Ocalan went out to the world and wanted to achieve peace and strived to implement it, but he was subjected to the most heinous global campaign to eliminate his Democrat project."

It noted that 24 years ago, the conspiring states have committed the most heinous violations against leader Abdullah Ocalan, calling for "achieving a lasting peace as leader Ocalan wanted, a peace that spares the blood of peoples, preserves rights and freedoms, and establishes the foundations of a democratic society."

It stressed, "The world must take its first steps to achieve true peace by ending the isolation imposed on the leader and the international powers to assume their responsibility regarding the implementation of the state of peace and to stop the Turkish state.

The statement added: "On this occasion, we pledge to our leader to intensify our efforts to build and strengthen the peace process, as it is an urgent necessity for all mankind."
