Syrian politician talks about jeopardy Turkish step in Syrian territories

The path of normalization between the Damascus government and the Turkish occupation is witnessing a state of stagnation against the backdrop of Turkey's clear retreat from this path after some rapprochement with the West, especially after the recent NATO summit.

The Turkish retreat was evident through its clear and explicit adherence to its occupation of the Syrian lands, as Turkish officials refused to withdraw from the lands occupied by Turkey, considering that a red line.

In addition, Turkey continued to send military reinforcements to the occupied Syrian regions, especially Idlib, and the Turkish occupation officials returned to talk about their ambitions in many Syrian regions, especially Aleppo, under the title of developing the regions.

The Syrian politician and Secretary-General of the Syrian Change and Renaissance Party, Mustafa Qalaji, spoke about this by saying: "Unfortunately, the Turkish occupier continues to practice his disgraceful behavior by occupying the Syrian land, and this occupation continues from the Iskenderun district to the Idlib Governorate, and Afrin, which was occupied with international complicity."

He added, "Day after day, the abhorrent Turkish regime continues to achieve and consolidate its occupation by demographic change through what is known as de-escalation agreements at the expense of the people of the same region, the owners of the land and the owners of the usurped right, and it also continues to reach Ras al-Ain and Tal Abyad, and through that it practices the filthiest types of occupation and exploitation through its mercenaries to pass his new, old project, described in the Turkish Milli Pact, which considers the state of Aleppo with its old Ottoman map to be a Turkish right and a legacy that must be returned to the Turkish authority."

The Syrian politician revealed that "the Turkish regime links the usurped areas to it administratively, economically, and even in services, and carries out a clear process of Turkification of the region in light of international silence, not even under international sponsorship, starting with its partner in NATO and ending through its allies in Astana."

Turkey will not withdraw, and the Syrians must rely on themselves

On the possibility of Turkey's withdrawal, Qalaji affirmed: "Turkey will not withdraw from the usurped areas, because its withdrawal will not leave opportunity to interfere in the Syrian issue, and it will no longer have a major role in that."

The Syrian politician sent a message to the Syrians, saying: "Syrians should not depend on the international community, as it is hypocritical and immoral, and its interests are with the Turkish regime more than it is with us. We have to depend on the unity of the Syrians and on our confidence to expel the occupation ."

Qalaji concluded his speech by emphasizing that "the international community exploits the Syrian crisis for its own interests, but it does not provide us with a solution that fits our interests. Therefore, the Syrians must go to a real serious dialogue table without preconditions from any party except for the interest of Syria and all Syrians."
