On June 10, the Autonomous Administration announced that it had taken the decision to start trial of ISIS mercenaries, and the decision resonated locally and internationally, which was reflected in the media interest in this decision.

In this context, Khaled Ibrahim, a member of the administrative body in the Department of External Relations of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, stated that "most countries are still in the process of searching to express their positions," adding, "We tried to ask some international parties about the administration's announcement of this trial, but they did not express negative positions." Nor positive.

In the same context, he continued, "We have contacted some countries of the International Coalition, and they are in the process of searching to arrange positions according to what we understood from them."

"We are waiting for these positions until they crystallize," he added.

Regarding communication with Arab countries regarding the decision to prosecute ISIS mercenaries, Ibrahim said, "There are some channels between the administration and some Arab countries, but they have not yet crystallized to have a positive intervention in the course of trials and in the process of arranging the political situation."

He stressed that "the Arab environment is very important for the Autonomous Administration."

In a related context, Ibrahim explained that "some international human rights organizations inquired about the details of the trial mechanism, the laws, the body that will be tried, and the form and procedures of the trial."

A member of the administrative body in the Department of External Relations of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria confirmed that the trials "will include everyone who committed a crime in North and East Syria against the administration, components and groups, whether they are men, women or juveniles of the age of the trials," and added, "There will be more details in the judicial system."

Khaled Ibrahim recalled that the decision taken by the Autonomous Administration to start trial of ISIS mercenaries came after many appeals made by the Autonomous Administration to international forces to establish an international tribunal to try ISIS mercenaries, but he reiterated that the Autonomous Administration's decision does not mean that it has abandoned those appeals.
