Unidentified gunmen targeted, with direct bullets, a judge in the "magistrate" court in Al-Hirak area and a counselor of the Misdemeanor Court of Appeal in Daraa, which is under the control of the Damascus government, called "Monther Othman Al-Salamat", in front of his house in the city of Izraa in the countryside of Daraa, which led to his death, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.

This comes in light of the spread of chaos and security chaos in Daraa, which witnesses cases of targeting and assassinations on an almost daily basis, in which the security situation is not controlled.

Thus, the outcome of the targeting in Daraa, since the beginning of this year, according to the Observatory’s documentation, has reached 195 security chaos incidents, all of which took place in different ways and methods, and caused the death of 150 people, most of whom were citizens and members of the Damascus government forces.

These figures, and the escalating rate of targeting and murders, confirm the failure of the Damascus government to control the security situation in the Syrian regions on which “settlements” were imposed, especially Daraa, which underwent two settlement processes, the first in 2018 and the second in 2021, as the policy of imposition and coercion turned the region into a hotbed. For murders and assassinations without accountability or supervision.
