​​​​​​​Turkish elections are great opportunity to overthrow AKP

On the 14th of May, Turkey will hold parliamentary and presidential elections, while the people of the region hope that these elections will be the end of a bloody era for the power of the Justice and Development Party, which spread war and destruction.

In this context, politicians and clan dignitaries in Qamishlo canton, the people of Bakur (Northern Kurdistan) and Turkey in general called for going to the polls to put an end to the extermination policies pursued by Erdogan's Justice and Development Party.

The Secretary of the Kurdish Democratic Rojava Party in Syria, Kovan Kanou, referred at the beginning of his speech to the extermination policies pursued by the Turkish occupation against the people of North and East Syria, Bakur and Turkey, and said: "Erdogan continues the occupation policy of the Ottomans, and today he occupies many regions of Rojava, such as Afrin and Serêkaniyê," stressing, "the upcoming elections will be an opportunity to overthrow a government that adopts bloodshed as an approach to its policies."

And he sent a message to the citizens of Bakur (Northern Kurdistan) and Turkey, "We trust you. Go to the polls. In this way, victory will be our people's ally."

For his part, a member of the leadership body of the Modernity and Democracy Party, Ibrahim al-Thalaj, stated that the Justice and Development government, since it came to power in Turkey, has run the rule of tyranny and dictatorship and spread wars.

He called on Turkish society to unite and take advantage of the opportunity through the elections to "overthrow the dictatorial regime in Turkey and move towards building a democratic parliamentary government," and considered that the left-wing Green Party is the most appropriate representative of the aspirations of the Turkish people.

For his part, the sheikh of the al-Sada al-Hayali clan in al-Hasakah, Ala al-Din bin al-Sheikh Ahmed bin al-Sheikh Abbas, drew attention to the dangers of the leader of the Justice and Development Party winning the presidential elections, and considered it a disaster for Turkish society and the people of North and East Syria. Because it will escalate its attacks on neighboring countries and will occupy more lands, and in this way it will continue its war policies.

"The Turkish people should be one hand in these elections and adopt a democratic government to build democratic relations with neighboring countries," he stressed.

One of the notables of the Kaska clan, Muhammad Saeed Hassan Nayef, also appealed to all components of Turkish society to stand up to the policies of the authoritarian justice and development authorities that directed the region to destruction and destruction.

He called on the people to vote for the left-wing Green Party, and considered it a representative of democracy in Turkey and capable of bringing about an important change in Turkish politics and ending its wars.
